Residential Development
Plans for a housing development on a vacant site at Whingate Road, Armley have been given the go ahead by Leeds City Council.
The 0.75 Acres site, previously occupied by Whingate Primary School, has now been demolished and relocated to the opposite side of Whingate
Road. The vacant site is now disused and overgrown.
Edward Architecture was appointed by Leodis Homes for the development of a new residential scheme comprising of 16 no. dwellings with in-curtilage car parking spaces and associated external and infrastructure works.
The layout of the site was carefully considered to comply with the brief and overcome constraints, while still being able to utilise key site opportunities and community links.
Sites such as this play an important role in the continued regeneration of Yorkshire’s towns and help to ensure that the growing issue of housing need is positively addressed.
